Tucked into Belconnen, near the shores of Lake Ginninderra, we're the kind of takeaway you grew up with — not trying to be anything fancier than really good fish and chips, made properly.
A neighbourhood institution
Lakeside Fish & Chips has been part of the Belconnen community for years — the sort of place where the person behind the counter remembers your usual order. We're not chasing trends. We're chasing the same thing we always have: fresh fish, hot chips, and a menu big enough that everyone in the car finds something they want.
Our pizza dough is hand-made in-house, given time to prove properly, and stretched thin so it comes out of the oven crisp rather than doughy. It goes on the board every day from 4:30pm, alongside the fish, seafood, burgers, wraps and snacks we've always done. Good ingredients, generous portions, no shortcuts — that's the whole philosophy.
Above all, we're a family-friendly local spot. Fast when you're in a hurry, friendly when you've got time for a chat, and consistent enough that you know exactly what you're getting every time you walk in.
